Stan Boreson, "King of Scandinavian Humor" and veteran Northwest entertainer is celebrating his 45th year in show business. A successful entertainer from the onset, Stan appeared for 18 years on several Seattle television shows including his longest running and most successful "Kings Klubhouse." 

Stan is a native of Everett, Washington and a University of Washington graduate. While attending the University of Washington, he was invited to participate in his first local television show called "Campus Capers", featuring university students. His success on "Capers" led him to his second television show with local musician Art Barduhn. They called their show "Two B's at the Keys." Recognizing his talents as well as his humor, the stations program director created a daily afternoon children's program for him called "King's Klubhouse." The success of the show bestowed on him many awards including the national "Children's Entertainer Award", awarded annually by the Dell Publishing Company. 

Along with his accordion and "Songs his Uncle Torvald taught him", Stan has tickled the funny bone of audiences of all ages wherever he appears. On a dare, he began doing Scandinavian dialect songs by transforming popular American songs into humorous Norwegian and Swedish renditions. Over the years, his songs proved so successful that he has made numerous recordings and currently has fourteen cassettes on the market. His latest album is entitled, "Ay Don't Give A Hoot" and contains some of his most requested songs. Included in this album are such gems as, "Blue Goose Snoose". "Swanson , Swenson, and Jensen", "Copenhagen Farvall" and the "Norwegian's Lament". However, audiences remember him most for his Christmas songs which are now featured on two cassettes and CD's, "Stan Boreson Fractures Christmas" and "Yust Go Nuts At Christmas".   

Although Stan likes being at home with his family, he still enjoys traveling and performing at festivals and celebrations throughout the United States and Canada. Some of his more memorable appearances have been the Norsk Hostfest in Minot, North Dakota, Scandinavian/American Night in East Meadow, New York, Little Norway Festival in Petersburg, Alaska and for King Olav V of Norway (At his request). 

When he is not performing, Stan and his wife Barbara conduct tours throughout the United States and Canada. Their tours have taken them to such destinations as the Canadian Rockies, Nashville, Branson and Nova Scotia. Of course, he brings his accordion along for a good old fashioned sing-along.
